From an early age, she was drawn to nature’s small treasures—colorful stones discovered along winding trails and precious objects washed ashore by the sea. These moments of wonder sparked a lifelong appreciation for beauty.

Our Founder

In past times, learning a craft necessitated staying in one place. For Sasha, the craft of jewelry design was experienced in different places around the world.

Transitioning from healthcare, Sasha’s foundation in this colorful industry started at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, CA , where she studied Gemology in 2005. A fascination with Opals led her to the beautiful country of Australia, where she learned to source and purchase rough in the fields of Lightning Ridge. 

She completed an internship under the guidance of a Master Gemologist in the identification and quality assurance of gems and jewelry in the San Francisco Bay Area. Many an evening was spent behind a lapidary machine and quiet late nights dreaming up jewelry sketches on the kitchen table.

In 2009, Sasha relocated to Germany and worked abroad for three years, independently exhibiting in Gem shows throughout Western & Eastern Europe, as a gem dealer, specializing in the sale of Precious Opals. The beautiful fusion of Italian jewelry design’s passion and artistry with the precision and attention to detail of German craftsmanship became a profound influence on her creative journey. This unique cultural experience shaped her design philosophy, inspiring pieces that seamlessly blend elegance, artistry, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Upon returning to the US, she decided to further her education by incorporating CAD into her line of Design. She was awarded Students Choice: Best Design Award for her body of work at the Gemological Institute of America, 2013.

Throughout her journey, she has had the privilege of working alongside talented artisans, master goldsmiths, and skilled craftspeople abroad and throughout the greater San Diego area. These collaborations have enriched her experience and continue to inspire the creation of distinctive, one-of-a-kind pieces.
