When Love grows in the Garden-A Floral Inspired Wedding Ring

The Bird of Paradise — A Floral Natural Diamond and Gemstone Ring, Designed to Celebrate an Anniversary and a Love for a Shared Passion!

For this couple, weekends are spent side by side in the soil nurtured by an upslope, mountainous Caribbean breeze with plentiful banana trees, fragrant culinary herbs and a sprinkle of bright & fiery scotch bonnet peppers.

More than a hobby; their garden is a shared ritual where life grows from garden to table.

Of all the blooms, the Bird-of-Paradise, also known as the Crane Flower, is her favorite.

A bold ornamental flower.

Sculptural & Vibrant.

We began by selecting a Pear Shaped diamond to serve as the heart of the flower.

A complimentary shape, the Pear is a Fancy Cut, with brilliant fire and a beautiful elongated silhouette, lending itself well in organic & asymmetric Jewelry Design.

After choosing the center-stone, we turned to color. Layered petals of deep violet-blue, rich green, and warm amber, we naturally looked to blue sapphires and a varietal of vibrant Garnets to emulate the flowers bold colors.

Tsavorite garnets are a nice alternative to emeralds, hardy & often quite clean with rich green color tones.

Spessartine Garnets fiery orange hues highlighted the color of the flowers petals.

After the stone selection, we began creating the CAD — using the outline of the flower as our canvas to start bringing the design to life.

Alongside the Bird-of-Paradise ring, the design of the wedding band follows the outline of a leaf. Set with natural diamonds and cast in two-tone gold (yellow and white gold), it was crafted to nestle seamlessly against the flower ring, organically paired, or for a more subtle look, beautiful enough to wear on its own.
